After picking Kerri up from camp on Sunday, we drop Cole off on Monday morning around 8am. When we arrive, we find his camp buddy isn't coming as his mom didn't get his forms in on time. We wait in a couple of long lines to get him moved from cabin 27 to 24 with his buddies Kyle (from church) and Brent (from baseball). He hates long lines, so I knew he really wanted to bunk with someone he knew! No doubt, boys and girls are at separate ends of the spectrum. While Kerri was perfectly fine having Kadi, Cole and me hang around, Cole was ready for me to drop him at the corner. I finally convinced him that I could definitely make his bed better than him. Great, Mom got passed the door! Horay -- he wants a lower bunk! Mom is so happy!!Hmmm. But where is Cole? Oh, he is gone to play ball. I make his bed and try to get his stuff put away, and I am off. I round him up over by the tree and will him back to get his picture made by the door. I just had to have that photo. It took some sweet talking to get a smile! :)
After the ordeal with Kerri's camera and her "all of 5" pictures, I encouraged Cole to take LOTS of pictures! I even bought him TWO cameras! I had great hopes.
Time went quickly while he was away. The girls went to horse camp Tuesday through Friday during the morning. Between Kerri's gymnastics and Kadi's swimming, we kept busy during the evenings, as well. Of course, we paused occasionally
to take bets on how many times Cole was going down that AWESOME slide!!! I was secretly hoping he was getting good pictures to document his stay.Since the girls had their final day of horsecamp, Brian took a day of vacation to retrieve our son. He called immediately to say he had a great time and he would see me that night. He and dad had a day of golfing and shopping planned! They came home with pink shorts! WOW...a day to remember!
I rushed to the one hour development to see his camp experience. DARN! They made a camp out of hitting the camera hard and making it flash. I have lots of NOTHING pics, 2 of him lying on his back taking a pic of himself and all the others are of bunk beds. I will spare you from seeing all 10 bunkbed pictures and will just post a couple! :)

He had great stories of camp! Mostly he played basketball in the gym, but he made lots of friends. Of course, he didn't talk as much as Kerri about his experience, but occasionally he adds snipets. His video came in the mail last week which showed me lots of what they did. They had TONS of contests. I did find out he is somewhat shy and didn't volunteer for any of them. Just give him a basketball, and he is good!
