Footloose

Kerri LeeAnn makes her musical debut tonight as she joins her peers on the stage for the production of Footloose. It is so exciting to watch the giddy smiles and hear the high pitched squeals as she gears up for the big night.

Weeks of preparation will pay off, I am sure. Most nights she would be at school until at least 9:30 practicing; last Friday night, 11:30. Saturday, she was there most all day. Hard work? Sure. But many fun-filled memories, and this is what high school is supposed to be about. Oh, yea, and keeping good grades. She is starting off right!

Kerri didn't try out for a lead roll. She opted to be a part of the ensemble instead, though she volunteers for all the extra parts she can get. Next year, I hope she will take the leap and try for a lead. She did decide after she realized how much she enjoyed this that she would change her elective from stage tech to acting.

Chatter fills our home in the evenings with, "this is sooo fun," "Brock Thompson (Ren) is soooo cute," and "I love this." It warms my heart to see her so passionate about the musical. I will post pictures soon.
